Gesture Cube
No need to touch just give it a wave! Just wave your hand to access music, web, your family and friends. You don´t even need to touch the surface. Gesture Cube uses 3D spatial movement tracking to help transform navigating a device into a magical intuitive experience. The underlying GestIC® technology detects your hand´s approach and movements – your favorite apps and media all at a wave of your hand. www.gesture-cube.com The Gesture Cube … ..is not just technology for techs sake. It is thoughtfully designed and deeply rooted in a genuine understanding of consumers expectations and needs. We have explored the possibilities of 3D technology to craft a product experience that is so intuitive its almost magical. Using natural gestures to control our electronics helps to draw them closer to our natural behaviour, making things easier and more fun. The result is an intelligent product concept with unlimited possibilities for enhancing daily life with effortless interaction. The Gesture Cube´s design is simple yet so beautiful it doubles as a sculptural icon in your living space. Technology GestIC® electric field sensing technology makes 3D spatial hand or finger movement tracking possible. GestIC® detects movements and distances in 3D space and provides the technical backbone for Gesture Cube´s 3D user interface. GestIC® enables touchfree three-dimensional gesture control on 2D screens from mobile phones, tablet PCs, picture frames and MP3 players all the way to 3D devices …
Remembers me the Cubezilla Concept, peoples choice on Mozilla Design Challange Summer 2009.
Great idea.
do you have a release date?
intuitive? But only if you grow up with it!
Too small, limited usefulness, awkward. The software is nice, the choice of it being a cube is not (you can only see at most 3 sides – 50% of screen – at once).
Wow, is his “favorite” fast!
its cool, but it would b alot but it would b alot cooler if it was a sphere shape so it could b like your own crystal ball now thaT WOULD B THE SHIT
agree
looks cool . . . but pretty useless.
I dont want to carry this across my apartement.
Gesture capability and more Multimedia capabilities of LCD TV’s would be far more interesting than just another device
I dunno about you, but a cube shape seems less practical to me than a flat screen or maybe even just a projection.
Yeah, really cool, you can’t use it blindly, since it lacks tactile feedback and it’s a darn slow way to use any computing device if you have to wait for that fancy ui to move.
It’d be halfway awesome if you wouldn’t have to carry(please, add a handle and cut off it’s legs!) it around and just make the gestures into thin air.
I tihnk its fake
R u kidding? this is like a big deal. iphne the technology alone. shit is ill.
whats to come next?
100% fake.
I like music. But I can not find Yinan Ming – anywhere in the network of the imagination. Can you please tell me the song of the origin of 1.25?
Weird.
Oh, it’s awesome! But is it real?
Very Cool great idea, but i think a tablet would be more user friendly than a cube
useless.
google for ident technology
it’s a German start up company.
Those features are real, it works with the energy field of the body.
It will maybe take a couple of years to get it on the market, but it’s really cool
This is still a concept device. Screens are placed onto device, because there is no such device yet. . .
Loks cool, but is it reaL?
looks like an iphone cube. wonder wat power it will run on? lets keep it green
This is indeed very cool and well designed but this is absolutely 100% usless waste of money.
is this fake or real? wow this is too sexy to be real. . . But is this going to come out in asia first. . or is it gunna come out at the same time?
This is too difficult. . . too many surfaces.
I’m not carrying a Cube around my house.
The technology should blend into your environment and become a rather complicated focal point.
